As you hit this area in Pacific Grove, you will encounter the park, trail that runs past, beach access and wonderful views of Monterey Bay to Santa Cruz. Plenty of benches to sit and enjoy the day, plenty of grassy areas for a picnic.

Both lovers point and the adjacent park are very beautiful spots to just walk or sit and enjoy the scenery and to take some great photos. Family friendly!

We have been here before, only this time it was cold and overcast (which it is much of the time), wishing I had dressed a little warmer. Still nice to visit

Convenient walk from our hotel from Lighthouse Ave. public restrooms. And a cute lil walkup grill for quick and easy lunch to enjoy on the beach! Oh and yummy ice cream! There is also a nice little coffee and bakery type items here also.

We have been coming here for the last 4 years. The views are spectacular. Weekends are a lot busier and louder. During the week days there are only a few people out. Totally worth having a picnic here.

A little difficult to get down to secluded beachy area but it's very nice and quiet if you avoid the area with the grill/pool.

There is a sheltered beach for sunbathers, as well as kayak rentals. A beach side snack bar serves up fresh burgers and fries and other snacks. Two small lots provide adjacent parking, but come early to this popular smallish beach. For finer dining, there is...More

We had a fun, scenic walk on the beach here at lover's point! So many whales! We sat and had a picnic on their picnic benches and watched the orcas traveling through!

Lover's Point is known for a carpet of stunning, bright pink ice plant. I did a little research and learned that it blooms between early April through the end of May.

I was just there this week end. I really don't know about taking a BBQ onto the beach but the nice park just steps up from the beach has built in BBQ's. The park has great ocean views and is just steps from the beach.

Not sure whether this is regarding Lover's Point but if it is, it's a public area so accessible to the Public, 24/7.
