I love the area I live in and you really can’t go wrong with any stop along the coast...except this one. While it’s lovely that it’s right along the coast, it feels far removed from it. It’s remote, isolated and you are so far up...More

Where the mountain meets the "sea", where the best of nature is on display and it's all free! Beautiful paved trail winding through the mountain with gorgeous, sweeping views of the ocean and depending on the month, sometimes great for whale watching. Headed south on...More

The trail has some great ocean views but the trail has cement blocks all along the trail so your dog would have nothing to see or sniff. If it’s just people, it is a nice trail as long as it’s a clear day. I’ve been...More

A special treat if you want to enjoy the views of the Pacific ocean while walking on the old highway... Great for families and dogs... Well worth the visit.

Adjacent property has a war era observation installation. Technically on private property as the sign states. Many people wandering over to check it out anyway.

This is a beautiful hike on a paved hiking/biking trail along the California coast, where Highway One ran before the Devils Slide bypass tunnel was completed. There is parking at both ends of the trail and great scenery for the full length. You can connect...More
