What a hidden gem this was. Gallery housed ongoing and temporary art pieces. Displayed blown glass sculptures at this time. Amazing works of art. The Docent was so informative and eager to show us pieces of interest. Outside we visited the sculpture gardens . With their winding walkways and natural rock benches surrounding many water features. The Indian Maiden sculpture... More

Obviously, I am not an art connoisseur. I do enjoy good artwork, but saw little of it here. My little grandsons could do as well as several of the pieces here.

Quirky and fun. Light and airy. Don't be looking for major works but be happy to be exposed to something new and original.

Small enough to cover in an hour or two. Large enough to offer real treasures. I absolutely loved the current show on female abstract expressionists. Don't miss it if you are in town.

This museum boasts one of the finest collections of mid-century European and American modern sculpture this side of the Mississippi. The Henry Moore's alone are worth a visit and they are in good company with other famous artists. And even more surprising is the range and innovative reach of its international contemporary collection. While rooted in prominent California artists, it... More

We attended a volunteer gathering and were really impressed with the displays. The even had a part of my old aircraft (C-119 flying boxcar) cockpit. I was able to show my wife where I sat as the radio operator. I left there feeling like I had just experienced a wonderful viewing of the past aviation era.

Put The Palm Springs Art Museum on your itinerary. The unique exhibits are expertly curated and the docents are wonderfully prepared to present this place of enrichment and enjoyment.

We have visited many art museums and galleries in our journeys. This is a fabulous building but we were disappointed as the cleanliness needs improvement, there is active docent and individual museum staff conversation ongoing in more than one installation. The major exhibition was discombobulated as there wasn't a specified travel pattern. More than a couple of times we viewed... More

The art museum is truly a reason in itself to go to Palm Springs, similar to the Norton Simon in Pasadena, the Getty Villa in Malibu, and others in SoCal. The modern collection is accessible to kids, adults, cognoscenti, and amateur art appreciators. The staff was extremely knowledgable. There's an art Glass section, two outdoor sculpture gardens, and both Native... More
