We know we are near Palm Desert when we see the windmills. Very impressive as to size and number. However a few are broken and then the random few don't work. A bit freaky, especially at night. Worth seeing!

Over 3000 wind mills. Quite a sight. They are privately owned and provide power to 40000 homes. Spectacular to see on Rt. 10.

Never seen so many wind generators all sorts. In the UK we have only used wind power for a few years but here its been decades.

It's a very windy spot, but bring your tripod and camera. We did not join the windmill tour, but was able to see a windmill closely.

the scale and beauty of green power blew me away, I recommend seeing it and you can stop at a local store and get a taste of the local culture

For me it was an experience to see the windmill farm while my trip to Palmsprings and I liked the view of it all at one place ...... nothing so great about it but something different would say.

It was amazing to see the height of the windmills up close and to learn their history. Definitely worth the price. Plus hte bonus ids a date shake at the end of the tour.

The Palm Springs visitors center told us of a side street where we got close pictures. Not sure about the turbine. They might know.
