Well worth the $9 admission ... a true Oasis experience... Very popular Note: there are actually 3 canyons in the Indian Canyon area: Palm, Andreas, and Murray. Palm is the most visited and has the Trading Post. Parking can be tough if it is busy, Restrooms are portapots and no running water. Shaded picnic areas above and in the canyon... More

Probably the best attraction of the unique Indian Caverns. We are talking about a perfect blend of hiking, walking, scenery, pictures, picniking. The trails are impeccably maintained & the main (easy) trail leads you right down to the floor of the canyon. It is for you to then decide how much additional hiking you want to do beyond the amazing... More

We spent a few hours walking around on a couple different trails. The palm oasis area was particularly interesting since neither of us had seen a oasis. Very nice trails -- some more difficult than we could handle.

Whenever we get to the area, we hit this up for a day of hiking. Yes, it costs to get in, but seeing the natural palm canyons hidden in the desert is worth it. All level of hiking available, and depending on the time of year water level will vary, so be prepared.

Read about this in the tour book and wasn't sure what to expect. It looks like a moonscape driving in but once you get to the canyon, it was amazing. I'm from the east coast and this whole desert thing is so fascinating to me. We walked a little over a mile into Palm canyon before turning around and then... More

There are a few spots here that I would call perfect. Desert landscapes are beautiful for there shape edges and the Palm Canyon area provided just what I was hoping to experience.

We walked through this place this morning with awe. What a magnificent place. Even in the heat of the summer, the place speaks of history and pre-history.
