We did the palm canyon hike in late March, 2017 and really enjoyed it (kids are 11, 14, 17). Palms, stone pools, and beautiful views throughout the hike. I was hoping it was $9 for the entire car, but it is $9 per adult, $7 per student, and $5 for children. Still well worth it. Unfortunately, we started about 10:00... More

My son and I spent a couple of days in the canyons relaxing during his spring break and enjoyed every minute of it. The region has enjoyed some significant rainfall recently which has filled the normally quiet waterways and sprinkled green across the arid landscape. An experience well worth the entry fees, and fulfilling to the soul.

The Indian Canyons are all beautiful. The trails are all clearly marked, but it's always good to check with the ranger & inquire about difficulty levels. The Palm Canyon trail drops down into a beautiful fan palm oasis and continues along the creek for a bit over an easy mile. Since there's been a lot of rain (and snow in... More

Palm Canyon is one of the 3 canyons of Indian Canyons. It is the most visited and may be most scenic. Admission to Indian Canyons is $9 per adult. Roads are well marked and lead to all 3 canyons. Palm Canyon has a trading post and outdoor restrooms. Trails are set in a magnificent canyon oasis of giant palms. Great... More

There are beautiful views starting with the parking lot! We were there on a cool day and couldn't have been happier....we did the 3 mile version and loved the varying views of the oases and the mountains. Even saw a Barrego up on the hillside above the parking lot....first sighting!

Very enjoyable hike. Literature says a 3 mile hike each way (6 total), definitely felt a little short of that. We went at a leisurely pace and finished in 2.5 hrs with stops and a leisurely lunch. One of our party was 'mature', but managed well. The 1st mile is very a beautiful stroll thru the Palm Canyon along the... More

We walked the trail for a few miles and then turned left and took the Victor Trail back to the trading post. This was a great decision - so many breathtaking views! The Victor trail is steeper and you'd better not be waring sandals. Alltogether it took us 2 hrs walking time. Must see!

Even in the heat of the summer this spot is worth the trek. We loved the little oasis in the middle of the desert.

We did this trail in 118 degrees... We did a 2 mile trail as recommended by a helpful guide at the entrance... Beautiful and peaceful, cheap snacks at the outpost when you get back...
