LOVELY ARCHITECTURAL HIDEAWAY

This is an architect's dream house. We saw it only from the outside but it is still an amazing sight to see sitting at the center of a cul-de-sac on a hillside. The size from the front is totally deceiving because you do not get a feel for how big a property it is until you view it from its... More

This is an interesting home for a Mid Century Modern Architecture enthusiast, but not a necessary must see. But if you are an Elvis fan, it is a must. Tons of Elvis memorabilia and stories to go along with it.

If you are an Elvis fan, this is one of the necessary visits. It is where he and Priscilla spent their honeymoon after their marriage in Las Vegas. The tour is offered twice daily in the afternoon for $30 each; reservations are suggested, but we walked in mid-October. The house is architecturally significant for its mid-century modern design. All pictures... More

We planned to just drive past the house, but a tour was just starting. Only 2 tours a day - 1 pm and 3pm. Price for admission was a little steep - $30 per person, but hey, this is Elvis and he's worth it! The house and grounds were fabulous and you were encouraged to sit on all the furniture,... More

Fun, quirky and a great modern design. I recommend you book as there is only two tours a day (1pm or 3pm). Tour take about a hour and you can go in two out of the three bedrooms. I made sure I touched as much as possible and layed on Elvis' bed just because I could. I even swam in... More

This is the only example of a private residence built during the mid 20th Century in the modernist style of architecture which is open to the public in Palm Springs. The twice daily tour at 1pm and 3.30pm is worth doing even if you are not an Elvis fan, but even more so if you are! Sit where he sat... More

I have to say I'm not the BIGGEST Elvis fan there is (of course I like the guy, but don't feel like I can call myself a fan compared to the obsessed) but this was a great little tour and way to spend the afternoon. Just learning about the architects and builders of the home was fascinating - such an... More

I was so excited to visit this famous home...I just sat in the livingroom and gazed out thinking of Elvis having spent his honeymoon there...Beautiful area...I must admit it has been awhile since I was there but if you are a true Elvis fan it will be memorable... I have no idea who to contact about the tour...check with your... More

This was a fun little place to visit on a hot day in the summer in Palm Springs. The tour guide was eclectic (a little creepy actually) but it added to the interest of this piece of architecture. Lots of Elvis paraphernalia and fun facts. Not sure if it's worth 30 bucks a person, but was a fun piece of... More
