The 'Visitor Centre' in Palm Springs is in the main strip, inside the building that used to be the library. Above the door it still says 'Library', but we knew that it wasn't, as all the town plans show it as the visitor centre. We wanted to ask if there was a book shop in Palm Springs, but the man... This is a great place to visit upon arriving in Palm Springs. Staff is very helpful and friendly. And there are lots of fun souvenirs! Interesting that the building was originally a gas station in a past life!

The volunteers at the Visitor Center are about Palm Springs' best ambassadors. It's a clean facility with pamphlets on all the local attractions. Access is easy and there's a good parking lot. It's a great spot to find out what's going on this week in the Valley.

We stopped in the Visitors Center on our way out of town. There are so many good resources, books of Palm Springs, souveniers and very knowledgeable employees/volunteers. I would highly recommend any one going to Palm Springs for the first or even second time to visit the Center. Resouces for many activities, tours, vacation guide, etc. are abundant and well... More

Knowledgeable staff; really helped us to find good vegetarian places to eat. Also told us about the fun night market and the weekend art show. Good place to buy tourist t-shirts, etc.

Be sure to go to the visitor center at the beginning of your trip to PS as they are excellent in helping you plan the most fabulous visit you'll have to the area. The staff are very knowledgeable and quick to make recommendations to what your interests might be. Also, check their web site....lots of things to do!!

I stopped in at the Palm Springs Visitor Center for the first time as I arrived in town on my last trip. I was interested in taking one of the canyon hikes. Plenty of parking, nice public restrooms, lots of literature on Palm Springs. The gentlemen up at the counter were very helpful, they gave me directions on a map... More

we loved this place through came into town the wrong way from the south so it was harder to find - it's up by the aerial tram towards Highway 10 and the giant windmills! the guys were great and gave us good recommendations for a self guided tour of the wonderful modernist buildings in PS with a $5 excellent map....
