Glad we stopped in to the center. It was interesting to see the Mid Century building. Nice gift shop in side. They have lots of maps and other items for your visit to Palm Springs.

When we first came here years ago, we stopped and got a bunch of brochures and info. Fell in love with PS area, and just moved here permanently after retiring. Love it!

This is worth the visit just for the architecture and history of the building alone. Originally a gas station it now houses the visitor centre. Lots of good information as well. Great vistas towards the wind farm and heading toward the tram.

We stopped here to purchase shirts and/or mementos after riding the Tramcar. I was very disappointed at the selection and price of shirts & books for children. I left without purchasing anything. Loved the look of the place outside. Restrooms were clean.

Kudos to the city of Palm Springs for saving this 50's era gas station and making it their visitor center. Very friendly staff, and it is situated right at the base of the road heading up to the Tramway.

The art deco design of this building is great. I enjoyed looking through memorabilia of the real boom in Palm Springs.

As mentioned above, there is a self-guided tour map that can be purchased at the Visitor Center, which you can do on your own (walk, drive or bike). There are also several architectural tour companies that provide excellent... More
