Idea of Sculpterra came from a physician with lots of land who had a chance meeting with a world renowned artist. The site is exquisitely manicured with interesting sculptures and art work strategically placed around. It makes for a great art walk. On weekends, there is music which brings in much more people which can make it fairly crowded for being pandemic times. The wine seems to be second to the art work. Great place to visit.

It’s not a knock on the wine or the winery. I like smaller venues. I attempted to go here for the experience but it was crowded and the staff appeared overwhelmed. After waiting in line for almost ten minutes I turned around and left. If you like grand properties and can tolerate the crowds this might be for you. Can’t speak to the wine. Found some spectacular wines in much more comfortable and intimate settings in the area.

Not a wine drinker but had a great time wandering around looking at the sculptures and art work. Lovely grounds for a picnic. Be sure to get the visitor’s guide.

We made a reservation due to Covid (thankfully months in advance) and had a very personalized experience. We ended up purchasing the Port, which was AMAZING, and a bottle of the 2019 Winemaker Signature IV, which we will save for a few years to drink ($200....eek). The boys & men in our party played Bocce ball & the grounds were gorgeous. Definitely plan on returning.

We stopped by Sculpterra on our drive home to do a little reconnaissance for our next visit to Paso Robles. We were flabbergasted by the amazing sculptures and the child-friendly outdoor accommodations. It was absolutely worth the time and we will return to sample their wines!
