We had a very pleasant visit to Bean Hollow State Beach, along with friends and their two young sons. The kids loved checking out the sea life in the tide pools! The bluffs are lovely to walk, just north of the beach.

Beautiful rock formations and tide pools. I just sat and looked at the water and the rocks. Lots of places to sit outside of the wind.

You can find really unique rock formations in Bean Hollow, called tafones. The tide pools are fun to explore and the pebble beach was a welcome change from the sandy beaches we always go to. Just be informed that you are not allowed to take...More
