Absolutely loved Kastania! A small, family owned vineyard operated by a husband and wife couple who were as sweet as can be. The wines were great, mostly pinots, though two of us each went home with a bottle of the cab, which was amazing. Would definitely recommend to those who like the small, family vineyard, intimate feel!

Hoot & Linda Smith are the owners, pourers, winemakers, and just about everything else in this small but initimate winery. it was a flooded, rainy Sunday when we slipped and slid up Route 101 to Petaluma for a taste. Very convenient to the Golden Gate Bridge. Want to meet the winemakers-strike up a conversation while sampling their offerings. BTW...most of... More

A gem of a vineyard located just south of Petaluma, CA. The tasting session was ran by the owners which meant we got a really insight into the wines and the history of the vineyard. The owners are very warm and welcoming people who are very proud of what they have built and the wines they have produced. The wines... More

We stopped here on a whim and enjoyed a wonderful tasting experience. The owners themselves were pouring in the tasting room, and were very happy to tell us about the wines and show us around the small operation. The wines were great, too - mostly pinot noirs (including a pinot blanc, which we bought a bottle of) and one cabernet.... More

I visited here for my sister's bachelorette party, we had a GREAT time. They gave us a little tour of their set up and it was adorable. I would definitely come in again.

Very friendly, personable experience, hosted by the owners themselves. Mainly Pinots, including a delicious, rare Pinot Blanc. You get to taste 6 or 7 wines for $5 - probably the best deal in Sonoma County. If they're not too busy, they'll even show you around the place. It's a little tricky to get in and out of, with all the... More

We visited Linda and Hoot when there was road construction on the road leading to the vineyard. Lucky for us as we had the tasting and proprietors to ourselves. We enjoyed hearing about each wine we tasted and the history behind the names. My favorite was the 2012 Jason and Aiden's Block Pinot Noir. We had a wonderful time!

I called last minute for a tasting and they were able to accommodate us in ten minutes and it was a great tasting. Hoot was super friendly, $5 tasting for great wine, and a wonderful seating area out back for a picnic.

My husband and I are here for our 10 year anniversary. We saw kastonia on the map on our way up to healdsburg. We drive in and to our disappointment saw it was only open sat/sun and by appt. well, rut owner saw up, ran up the hill, introduced himself as "hoot" and invited us in! We tried 3 amazing... More

I've never managed to get a taste for wine (or maybe my palette just isn't sophisticated enough for wine) but I visited Kastania with a bunch of colleagues whilst on a trip. The hosts were wonderfully friendly and more than happy to talk us through their wines in detail - the wine must be good as there were a few... More
