Loved seeing the Bell Tower. It was in the center of town and added to it's charm. They were giving free stagecoach rides nearby, which added to the fun atmosphere.

Interesting read on the history of the bell tower and the town itself. Easily accessed on Main Street and a good place for a meeting point if a large group should split up.

It's Placerville's main landmark, it's historic, it's photograph-able. They have a farmers market there Wednesdays.
