Brought Grandma here to taste when she visited. I chose Boeger as I had been years ago, liked the wine, and was looking for a locale not too far from Sacramento. $10 tasting and you got 5 wines. Upgrade was available and it came with a commemorative glass. Had it been warmer, we would've eaten our packed picnic outside at... More

This was my first wine tasting in CA and it was wonderful. They are also very reasonable at just $10 and you get to select 5 wines to try from the wine menu. They also sell cheese, crackers and other snacks so you can purchase a bottle of wine and go outside and enjoy the view and a picnic on... More

My family is Distantly related to the Boeger Family. Our great grandfather and their great grandfather were brothers. A bunch of us Bay Area Boegers went up to see the place, and meet our distant cousin Greg. He took us on a wonderful tour of the winery and all the facilities, showed us some awesome old family photos of our... More

This winery is tucked into an orchard where we brought cheese, french bread and salami for post tasting snack. The glasses you can purchase with the upgraded tasting are good quality and the list of wines are extraordinary. Our favorite place to start tasting in Placerville

Boeger is a gorgeous historic winery featuring their medal-winning wines, beautiful vineyard and friendly staff. In the summer, bring a picnic and enjoy Sunset Sippin' while listening to a local band. Other special events feature art displays and sales and blacksmithery. Take a walk through the vineyards and catch the western view: stunning! Or join a "yoga in the vineyard"... More

Went here for tasting, good wines, like the glass you get for reserve taste. A must try while in apple hill

The ambiance and wines here are fantastic! Large tasting room, picnic grounds, snacks for sale, excellent wine. The Barbera was our favorite!

Boeger has a wonderful tasting facility in the Placerville area. The tasting room is located in the main building, often with the doors opened to the outside. The remainder of the property is a park-like setting with picnic benches, shaded areas and a small pond. It is truly a relaxing and pleasant environment. The wine tasting (with fee waived with... Great location and plentiful pours as far as wine tasting goes. The Barbera definitely stood out among the other wines. They have some items to purchase, including some food items and tables for a picnic if you choose.

Years ago, we came to Boeger for the wine, but also made some lasting relationships. We really liked the wines produced by the Boeger family. Then through a fly fishing friend who also worked at Boeger my husband came to know the family and staff. After learning of my husband's sausage making and then tasting, they have had him up...
