Love the museum.On railroad days they offer train rides also do fun stuff on Halloween and Christmas. Fun for all ages :)

This is an actual locomotive museum that offers the ability for the patron to drive the train. What a fantastic piece of history within driving distance of Reno. I hope everyone can go visit this and I hope they get more of these locomotives into...More

Great museum and we bought tickets to ride on the train. 2 of us rode up front and the rest of us rode in the other cars. Some were refurbished but still have a lot of the original seats/tables etc. The gift store was nice...More

Took the grandson for the Xmas event to see santa and ride the train. It was awesome. What 3 year old just doesn't love trains. It was well worth the admission and we loved it

September visits don't allow riding a train and a lot of their stuff is pre-restoration. This is almost more of a semi-open workshop owned by rail lovers than, say, the state railroad museum down in Sacramento. BUT great explanations on the sides of many engines....More
