This is a private residence with wine tasting on the weekends. While we were there, the lady serving the wine (who was very friendly and we really enjoyed chatting with her) told me that the owners rent out the cabin too. I liked the idea of this since the location is 5 minutes from my new home in Ramona and... More

Pros - decent view from the tasting area - number of wines to taste Cons - red wines are average at best with not much distinguishing between the different wines; none were outstanding - web pages emphasizes estate wines but most of the wines available to taste were not estate wines, though from the Romona AVA - many of the... Recently visited the Ramona area and wanted to go to Eagles Nest Winery, but after driving ot to it, found the iron gates closed. It advertised being open, so that was very disappointing. Don't bother to go unless you call first.

This was a great winery experience--super friendly hosts, yummy snacks, lovely patio. The wines were only OK, but I'm thinking that's a location thing--I've tried to like SoCal wines but haven't been too impressed--not a lack of winemaking skill thing.

This is one of Ramona's most attractive wineries/tasting areas. With tented areas, open areas and a bar, the seating is various and can accomodate larger and more intimate groups. The wine is very good. With entertainment by local artists (Jon Hasz is the best of the best), a view of the valley, and a breeze even on the hottest days,... More

This wine tasting is nestled up on a hill at the owners home. Once you arrive you are treated like the family and given your choice of many wines, fed homemade pasta, along with live music and the view, what can I say, but spectacular! We had a lovely time here. Thanks to all!

I may be biased somewhat considering these are my neighbors. But hey, we are in the wine business too and I guess that gives us a little bit of an edge on the good and bad of the industry. Don't miss an opportunity to visit Julie and Dennis at the Eagles Nest. The wine is young, but top notch. The... More

My wife and I visited as a part of a three winery deal which included five tastes at each winery, and a sangria and food pairing. The exact details of the implementation varied a little at each winery. Eagles Nest was the last winery we visited and I'm glad we saved it for last. There was a musician singing and... More

What an amazing view! The view and location alone is worth the visit. The property is up on a hill and has been set up beautifully. They have a super cute tasting bar outside, kind of like a gazebo, half circle thing with the awesome view as a back drop. They also have all sorts of other beautiful outdoor seating... More
