Sacramento Children's Museum's opened our doors in 2011 with a mission is to spark a passion for life-long learning. We are accomplishing our mission by providing a place where children are encouraged to think for themselves, expand their problem-solving abilities through creative exploration, and exercise both their bodies and their minds. The Museum's hands-on environments provide children with a gateway for opening up their minds to developing new abilities, building confidence, and making connections between their dreams and real world experiences.

Grandkids love it !

Whenever my grandsons come to visit, we always go here. They are 7 and 5 and find plenty entertainment for almost two hours. Staff is friendly and premises are kept very clean

As many have said already, this venue is quite small. It is segmented into distinct areas including a painting area, water play area(not swimming), wall mounted air tubes, dress-up, to name a few. There is a separate space for 'crawlers'. My grandson was most entertained by the paint room and water play area, especially the later. At 3 years old,... More

The Children's museum seems to be best for children under 8. We have taken our grandchildren there and they always seem to have a good time. There are some rotating exhibits. The annual membership is an especially good deal.

I took my grand kids here for the day and they didn't want to leave, there was so much to do and they had a blast.

My 6 yr old grandson thoroughly enjoyed visiting the museum, along with his mom and Uncle. Great place to hang out on a Saturday afternoon!

My son wants to have every birthday party for the rest of his life at the Sacramento Children's Museum. He does not realize he will eventually age out. I am always thrilled to see them light up with just the conversation about the children's museum. Thanks to the magnificent staff for making my kids world.

We visited the museum while my family and I were on a brief weekend trip to Sacramento to go to the zoo. We decided to go to the museum as it was located next door to the hotel we were staying at. The museum was pretty fun even though it wasn't a huge place. My son had lots of fun... More

Iʻve been to about 50 CMs and this one was excellent. Super friendly greeting when we arrived, very engaging exhibits for my seven year old son and his friend. Strongly recommended!

Took my nephews and sister here a few months back. We had SO MUCH FUN! They have a wooden block city, kids can paint on the glass of the art room (cleaned every 30 minutes), and the boys couldn't get enough of stuffing scarves into the air pipes (air pressure pushes scarves through a maze of pipes). Can't wait to... More
