Due to COVID there have been a ton of exhibits that were once there that are no longer available, however they did a very good job making it still fun for the kids. For kids older than 6 there are limited things to keep the kids engaged.

We’ve been here several times, usually as a class trip !
Always a great time, filled with arts, science and fun learning times for the kids !
I’ll be bringing the grandkids again soon

We visited this place in the summer during the week and it was very crowded! Loved the activities they have for children, but the place is small and cramped. Many activities for my 1.5 year old granddaughter.

This is a great little attraction that has a lot of heart and effort put into it. My kids loved the clear wall that they could paint on. Education and fun at the same time. Not saying the kids will grasp the concepts, but they'll get something out of it.

My daughter had an excellent time at the museum. She loved painting on the window wall and trying all the sensory items. If you are traveling and belong to your local children's museum- the Sacramento Children's Museum will honor your local membership. I appreciated the discount!

It was fun but it is geared more to younger kids then my own 9 year old but we still had some fun. I just wish they would add a little more older kid friendly things.

With or without a museum membership, a great place to bring the kids. (Note that if you are a member of another museum, you may be eligible for a significant entrance discount here.) There are a variety of great play options. Staff very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

It's a great place for the kids to release their energy and learn how things work. The whole place is one big interactive playground.
My grandson loves the water station to the point that I have to carry him away kicking and screaming when it is time to go.
The painting wall is another area that is a big hit.
I am a little disappointed with how the pool noodle station was changed. Too small of an area and not low enough to the ground.
My daughters family use to enjoy members Thursday night time until it was taken away. I not understanding why this happened. We are paying for this service!
Overall it is still a wonderful learning experience for children.

I took my 2 son’s, Ages 3 & 6, for the 2nd Time and they love this place. The highlight for them is the water station. They get to connect the tubes to see where the water leads. They have a bit of much to do. The best time to go is when they have an exhibit in wheels or when there’s more to do outside of the museum. I highly recommend this to parents with small children.
