This was a wonderful picturesque setting away from traffic and along the river. We rode from Sundial Bridge to the Shasta Dam which was 38 miles. Go early or when it's not too hot.

Easy hike (or biking) with plenty of wildlife and nature on display. Walking alongside the river was a very calming experience hearing the running water and soaking in the peaceful ambiance.

It is an easy trail by the river. Good for a leisure walk too. The sound of water and ducks make it serene

The hike to the footbridge is beautiful and invigorating. One side of the river has some hills and the other is flat so there’s a nice variety. Popular bike trail too.
