It had been many years since we had been in Redondo, but I grew up here. We very much enjoyed our time on the pier! Lots of shops and eateries as well as beautiful views, a nice walk, and fishing as well.

Yes, you can swim on the beach, on the south side of the pier..You cannot swim in between the 50 yd section of the pier because of the rocks and pilings. And at high tide there is no sand..The water goes right up to the... More

When we were there in december 2016, a lot of seals were lying on their back in the sea near the pier, enjoying the sun shing on their belly.
