Our family with children ages 5 and 11 as well as 4 adults visited and spent 3 hours. The children had a good time. Inside the large building were exhibits that also included ones the kids could interact with, so kept their interest. Outside are many planes that can be approached but not entered. There is also a memorial area... More

Displayed inside the hangar is the centerpiece SR-71 Blackbird and several other aircraft associated with March AFB. Lots of interesting aircraft (most of the collection) are displayed outside from MiGs (15, 17, 19, 21) to the F-14 and F-15. One of only two existant Northrop A-9 attack aircraft that lost out on the USAF contract to the A-10 Warthog. Plenty... More

I've had the privilege of visiting many military museums over the years. This is the most impressive collection of military airplanes, artifacts, uniforms and background that I've visited. It's a fair amount of walking, due to the expansive area required for all the planes, but it has well paved walkways. There is a tram/tour service available, however I did not... More

There are aircraft from the eve of airplanes (WWl) to some modern ones as the self flying drones. The Blackbird spy plane would be one of the central pieces, along with some Russian Migs. A very knowledgeable volunteer made very entertaining explanation on some of the airplanes. There are also some helicopters and bombers. If you are in the area,... More

I thoroughly enjoyed walking around their great collection of Fighters and bombers. Most impressive were the big bombers such as B52, B47, B29 and B17. Their collection of fighters is so cool and I enjoyed reading their specs and about their distinguished service.

Already visited the 2 Smithsonians in DC, the one in Dover AFB and SS Intrepid in NYC. Still found this one amazing, many planes met for the first time. Two hangars and a large collection outdoors. Wander freely around a B52 and F15 and F14 and much more. Make it one of the highlights of the day while in the... More

This place is cool for those that have an interest in airplanes. I took my nephew here and he loved it.

Im not sure why this museum doesn't have a higher profile as it is excellent. Located on the other side of the airfield from the actual air base the museum has numerous hangars and a lot of open space in which to display their fairly extensive collection of aircraft. After walking past some cold war jets and memorials the welcome... More

Hi, Thank you for the great review! Just a note, The MiG-23 has been re-positioned to be part of the new Iraq/Afghanistan Exhibit currently under construction. I know she looks rough but rest assured, she will be back in fighting trim very soon. More

The SR-71 Blackbird is the highlight here, especially the weekend we were there for an SR-71 Symposium, but there are so many other planes to see. The Symposium we attended takes place every other year. There were 20 former pilots and crew members who were there to share stories, facts and figures, as well as to autograph books, pictures, models,... More
