The Inglenook legacy began in 1879 when Gustave Niebaum, a Finnish sea captain, wine connoisseur and entrepreneur, came to Rutherford to build a wine estate that would rival Europe's finest. When Niebaum's grandnephew, John Daniel, Jr. inherited the chateau and vineyards in the 1930s, Inglenook had already earned international acclaim. Francis and Eleanor Coppola purchased the property in 1975 and have spent forty years reuniting the original vineyards, returning winemaking operations to the chateau, and restoring Inglenook's illustrious heritage with the help of renowned wine consultant Stephane Derenoncourt and Managing Director and Winemaker Philippe Bascaules. In honor of this estate and its historical significance, we have restored the name, Inglenook.

This is one of my favorite vineyards in all of wine country. There is some much history and so many stories from how it had produced of the "Top 10 wines of the century" to how it's owner, Francis Ford Coppola has brought the entire property back to its former glory. The estate wines are amazing.

Such an amazing property! Tons of history tied to the Francis Ford Coppola family. Our tasting came with a full history lesson, bread and cheese. Incredible shop with amazing crystal and other fine gifts.

Our visit to Inglenook and wine tasting with David was memorable and special! David is so knowledgeable about wines. He took us through the life cycle of the grape from planting to harvesting. We are members of Inglenook and our tasting with David was private and not hurried. We tasted 5 wines including the very special 2007 Rubicon Cab. The... More

Today we stopped by Inglenook for a tour and tasting as part of our Napa Valley weekend over Presidents' Day. It was a great way to spend the afternoon. The highlight of the day came shortly after we began the tour when our guide opened the front door and pointed to the vineyards which were being soaked by the day's... More

Beautiful historic site with a strong educational component provided through the museum displays. Impressive flight of flagship wines were offered to taste, paired well with artisan cheeses. Sebastian was our guide for the tour. He was charming and knowledgeable with great passion for the story behind the winery and the property. A must-see site for wine aficionados.

We visited Inglenook at the recommendation the tour company we booked our driver through. I thought I overhear someone say it was hard to book, but the tour company took care of everything so I'm not sure. We were intrigued by the Coppola name and by what the Inglenook Experience tour included. We started the day here and after experiencing... More

Beautiful chateau and grounds, great sommelier, good tasting experience! In addition, this is a place with history (let alone the fact that it has been restored and revived by Mr Coppola).

They always wow us when visiting! Their wines continue to Abarth as their elegance evolves. Their stories are enlightening and educational with an excitement that capture your interest. Everyone there has a gift to bring romance to wine that is spellbinding. A must when visiting Napa.

Nice place, very beautiful and educational. The wine tasting is expensive but the wines are worth it. Lots of movie stuff, Tucker car to private notes of the godfather movie
