Overview
More
The Inglenook legacy began in 1879 when Gustave Niebaum, a Finnish sea captain, wine connoisseur and entrepreneur, came to Rutherford to build a wine estate that would rival Europe's finest. When Niebaum's grandnephew, John Daniel, Jr. inherited the chateau and vineyards in the 1930s, Inglenook had already earned international acclaim. Francis and Eleanor Coppola purchased the property in 1975 and have spent forty years reuniting the original vineyards, returning winemaking operations to the chateau, and restoring Inglenook's illustrious heritage with the help of renowned wine consultant Stephane Derenoncourt and Managing Director and Winemaker Philippe Bascaules. In honor of this estate and its historical significance, we have restored the name, Inglenook.

We have been to Napa many times and elected to include Inglenook on this trip. The estate is impressive to tour with a rich history. David Mayer is an extremely knowledgeable wine educator and it was great to have a tasting with him. The Rubicon...More

WOW! My husband and I took a tour/tasting with another couple at Inglenook about 1.5 weeks ago. Our tour guide was a sommelier and gave us an in-depth history of the family history of Inglenook. Did you know it's the third oldest winery in Napa...More

This place is sumptuous. You need to promise to buy something -- a glass of wine, a tasting, something -- before they let you go through the gate, but once you do, you are on one of the definitive wine properties in Napa Valley. You're...More

Great house and views... interesting to wander through some of the rooms and the history. We did not do a tasting, just had coffee, though certainly had more character than a lot of the other wineries.

The landscape of this winery is beautiful.. I did the heritage wine tasting and it was amazing. I especially like the historical explanation of how the winery came to be. This was definitely worth the money I paid.

I believe the Heritage tour is 18 + simply because it's in the tasting room and wines are served. I noted the the Inglenook Experience tour states ages 12 +. Have a great time!!!
