Went to the zoo and fairytale town. Great for the young and old alike. Giraffes are especially great at feeding time

Went to the Sacramento Zoo for the first time. It was a very enjoyable afternoon for the family. Admission is $14.95 for adults and $9.95 for children 2-11 yrs. They have a interesting variety of animals. There were Zebras, Red Pandas and a Wallaby. There was a great platform near the giraffe enclosure where you could get a close-up view... More

Went with our grandkids on a winter day. Some cages were empty. Some animals were inside out of sight and some were just laying there apatic. The place itself is very nice and still will recommend it to take little kids

We had a great visit at the zoo. It was the off season so it wasn't too busy. Not many of the snack shops were open but the weather was good and the exhibits were fun to see. Price was ok. Parking lot is small but there is on street parking.

I accompanied my wife who is a teacher for severely handicapped children and we had a great time. The animals and all the shows and exhibits were the best. The kids and adults both enjoyed the visit.

This zoo is on the smaller size. Good for something to do half-day. Easy to walk. Too bad they don't have more funds to really make this a zoo worthy of the California state capital.

I've been to the big zoos in Los Angeles and Oakland. This doesn't compare but it's still a very nice place and I would recommend it for a family outing especially with young children.

Great exhibits. I especially enjoy the orangutans and other primates. Reptile exhibit is great. Griraffes have blue tongues, who knew.

I love visiting zoos when I travel. I work at a large zoo. Sacramento zoo is small but it is definitely worth visiting. There is plenty of parking. I was fortunate to be there in time for a Bird Keeper talk. It's always fun to watch the keepers interacting with the birds. He was interesting to listen to. The thing... More

It is the small zoo as I visited. It is well kept and a good place to bring children to spend weekend as local people if you do not have other better choice. It is not worth for travelers out town to spend time in it.
