What a surprise to walk through the capital grounds and discover an incredible arboretum. Big beautiful trees, many with identifying tags on them in addition to the world peace rose garden.

The CIM end right in front of the Capitol. At this time of year there is a large and beautiful Christmas tree. Just a great time to be in the area.

The first time I arrived in Sacramento, My husband took me here. That was March 2005. It was nice inside but I enjoyed more to sit at the park outside and eat our lunch and watch squirrels ran around .

The California State Capitol is where the business is held. The grounds are well manicured and beautiful. The main attraction is the Vietnam Wall. California's Wall. Those one the Granite Wall are all war hero's. A very moving spot on the Capitol Grounds.

The park surrounding the Capitol is worth strolling through! There are many monuments that tell the story of California as well as native fruit trees and foliage. Add to that a tour of the Capitol, and you have a very nice afternoon!
