If you love history and want to learn about California check this out. Took the kids and they were amazed we were allowed inside to tour...Free tour! Architecture is beautiful. Lots of cool things to see inside.

We had a nice visit. We went during the holidays and they had a group preforming with bells to Chrismas music under the dome. very nice and the Christmas tree is spectacular

The grounds of the California State Capitol are absolutely spectacular. Along the many pathways you can learn about the history of California as well as the flowers that were planted. Again, it is a "must see" for anyone.

To sign up for a public tour, please visit Room B-27 in the lower level (basement) of the Capitol. There are signs and docents to direct you. Tours leave on the hour, beginning at 9 am; the last tour leaves at 4 pm. You do... More

Public tours of the Capitol Museum usually last from 45 minutes to an hour. You may leave early if you need to.
