Beautiful Church, but the old Irish Priest is gone, he was wonderful

The new priest looks like a man I've been avoiding for years. A lot of pageantry, message is average Beautiful stained glass. They need a new old Irish priest.

I'm giving the exterior FIVE stars! We were unable to get inside however the outside is beautiful to walk around and the area is safe and secure. The kids loved the architecture just as much as we did. Next time we will plan it when we can go in!

We were in the cathedral to hear the Chanticleer Men's Group presenting an acapella Holiday Season concert, not a traditional religious service. We have been in many cathedrals throughout the world, most recently in Spain, and this cathedral is very typical but not as impressive as the others.

The cathedral is a beutiful example of the church. Takes a short visit unless you take in a service time. Great to take pictures unless a service is underway and you don't want to distaurb the parishoner's.

The Cathedral is a work of art and to sit in the pews and gaze at the stain glass windows is peaceful. So happy to say, they have been able to keep real candles to light.

This place is absolutely stunning, beautiful. I'm not Catholic but I appreciate beautiful and historical architecture. This is a must-see if visiting Sacramento. Completed in 1887, it is one of Sacramento's gems.

This is by far the most beautiful cathedral in existence in our area. I love it here and love the work they do with the community.

Take a moment to stop by and see the beautiful design and architecture of this building. Allow extra time to find parking as minimal is available right around the church. One way streets may also slow down the hunt for a space, but well worth the time.

You may have to time your visit by mass times...we snuck in and viewed the magnificent interior but a Chinese mass was going on so didn't wander. There are wonderful stained glass windows and an incredible painted ceiling.
