We had heard from others that Tudal was a don’t miss and the folks and wine were amazing. We were not disappointed. Angie stayed a bit late to accommodate us and she was so knowledgeable and friendly. We were lucky enough that John had just gotten back from somewhere and sat with us and shared some stories. Wonderful guy and so down to earth. And the wine was the best of our trip - all of it.
We will be back and look forward to it

Every year, my friends and I go to Napa for Hallowine (haha). We go in costumes and make a day of it - the trip is something we all really look forward to. This year, for the first time, we went to Tudal and I can tell you this will be on the list going forward!
The winery requires reservations, so when you arrive you need to enter a gate code. Our group of 13 was hosted by the incomparable Angie, who greeted us in costume (Wine-der Woman!) with a glass of refreshing Sauvignon blanc. When a friend of mine commented that he preferred a different style (think more Passionfruit forward than dry, acidic), she got him a taste of the Honker and he was in hog heaven!
All of the wines were excellent; what sets them above is the fantastic service and friendly atmosphere. The founder/owner, John, and long time employee Doug, both spent time with us. The location is bucolic; think organic gardens, beautiful pergolas, and farm-like Americana/decor that made it feel incredibly intimate and homey. Do yourself a favor and give them a call - and ask for Angie to be your hostess with the mostess!

We stoped for a quick wine tasting and ended up getting a personal tour of the wine process.
What a great idea to be able to sign the walls or ceiling of the tasting room. We were also lucky enough to get a signed copy of “Wine Dogs”...thanks John and Pablo

This was the last stop of a day long wine tasting tour and the tour company saved the best for last. It’s a beautiful property that relaxes you and provides the perfect ambiance to enjoy wine. We got to hang out with Ron the wine maker and every single bottle we tried tasted amazing.
After a day of wine tasting, this place knocked it out of the park. Every single bottle tasted greater, without any of the acidity some of the other wineries had with their vintage. The white and red had great flavor, full body, and aromatic. Additionally, their wines are priced reasonably without the exorbitant Napa Valley prices.
We had wine tasting on a farm style dining table and Ron the wine maker bring wine that compliments and enhanced our experience. Ron has over 50 years of experience and the taste of the wine shows. It’s not over processed and perfectly blended. All of this is set in a beautiful little garden strung full of lights and surrounded by herbs and flowers.
We lived our time here and will make a trip back next time we come to Napa ValleyI.

We have been to Napa and Sonoma many times and thought their wine ranked as one the the best we have tasted. We liked the atmosphere of this little winery and enjoyed meeting the people that operate it. Most of all the wine was very good and very reasonably priced. So we joined their wine club, something we as bay area residents have never done before. That is the proof of our opinion written here

Tried a spontaneous visit. No go. Their phone voice recording said they were closed, but indicated they take reservations for wine clubs and private events -- not lowly individuals. There is no information about any general public visiting hours, so we sadly had to move along to seek some other Winery with favorable reviews in TripAdvisor.

Our apologies for the inconvenience and impression we left. The winery is currently subject of a lawsuit. Under normal conditions we are open (as permitted by the county) by appointment and welcome new comers. We appreciate your patience and leniency until the issues are resolved.

This was our last stop on our first day throughout Napa. I had planned an engagement session with the winery in advance to propose to my girlfriend in the vineyards/winery. They had every single detail planned out (which I was so thankful for because I was already anxious enough!). The wines were fantastic - the cuvée was PERFECT! Our new favorite. (She said yes!) and we enjoyed a private tasting/walking of the grounds. A perfect view. Allison and John could not have been any more nice. It truly was a once-in-a-lifetime experience and we are forever grateful for their time and hospitality. Please visit their winery and support their attention to detail and just an overwhelming appreciation of good wine, family and fun!

Johnny was very informative and accommodating during our tasting. Very cool place to drink wine and play bocce ball. Wines are comparable to others in region.

What a unique and personalized experience! My wife, daughter, son-in-law, and I stopped on very short notice, yet we were treated like royalty. John Tudal, the proprietor, spent almost an hour of his time with us talking about his Dad in most intimate ways, explaining the walnut to vineyard transition his Dad was prodded into by Louis Martini, and sharing many other family and vineyard stories. Even though he could see right away that we weren't wealthy and not likely to buy a lot, he had his helper, Johnny, giving us tastings of different vintages of the same wine and bottles of the same vintage opened both the day before and during our visit. The wines were exceptional. We only bought a couple of bottles, yet he autographed both. We loved the ancient vines, ancient tractors, and even space to have a picnic. It was quite an experience--I might say even a "moving" experience. Thank you, John. I only wish I could give 6 stars.

Tasty wines with an affordable price range, a winery dog, lovely gardens to enjoy while you taste, laid back vibe with sheds and tractors which makes it all the more approachable. No wine snobbery here!
