Recently was on a business trip to San Carlos where we were given a quick 1 hour tour of the Hiller Aviation Museum. We all were thoroughly pleased with the tour and the exhibits in the museum. Surely there is something for every age level and area of aviation interest to learn and explore here. The exhibits are fascinating and... More

We have been to 3 events recently that were held at Hiller Aviation Museum. All were spectacular and very different. I am impressed at the variety of ways it can be configured. Great choice for a party :)

This compact museum is a great rainy-day attraction for kids, and nice anytime! The best part are the fee-added simulated flights. It was so real that I asked for the "guide" (a retired pilot) to assist me! This is an inexpensive and fun way to spend an afternoon, as we found by sailing paper airplanes off the second floor landing.

We spent part of an afternoon here with the family out to celebrate my husband's 70th birthday. My daughter thought this would be a fun place for Grandpa to tell stories of flying planes in Vietnam to the grand kids. There are many hands-on activities that the kids really enjoyed. Lots of aviation history from the Bay area. Cute gift... More

This is a great museum. It is really fun to visit. I would definitely recommend it for kids because it is mostly kid-centered.

A lot of vintage aircraft with excellent displays and history information. Very easy to get to from Highway 101. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable.

This somewhat out-of-the-way little museum on highway 101 is about 10 miles south of SFO at a little general aviation airport. It covers nicely the early aviation pioneers in the region, including Eugene Ely who landed the first airplane onto a ship (the modified cruiser USS Pennsylvania in San Francisco Bay in 1911), with some artifacts and reproductions of their... Recently visited this museum. I have passed it many times but never took the time to stop and go inside. This is a great place, lots of information and great historical pieces. From engines to propellers to airplanes and helicopters. Overall it was a good experience that even kids would enjoy. The only thing I would have liked to have... More

The Hiller Aviation Museum is a great place to spend an afternoon. A hidden treasure right in our backyard on the Peninsula. Don't miss the annual air show / helicopter day, too. Very fun event.

This is a fun and interesting museum for aviation fans of all ages. The museum is compact, and full of exhibits. The partial 747 outside is amazing; we were able to sit in the pilots seat! The volunteer guides are very enthusiastic too. We liked the gift store; it's full airplane models for purchase. (Also, there's a small public airport... More
