We spent a wonderul afternoon touring the Aviation Museum and we could have spent more time. Our group of four adults and three children had a great time both indoors and outside. We watched light planes land and take off outdoors and viewed so many...More

Stumbled across this museum in the Bay Area by accident and I am glad we found it. It has a good selection of aircraft but the main draw card was the B747 nose which was pretty cool explore. This museum has plenty of free parking...More

It's easy to miss the place, a small building just off the freeway junction going to San Mateo bridge. Most of the displays are related to Hiller helicopters and other Hiller products which surprisingly includes a toy gun. Quite cramped considering the eclectic displays although...More

This not a huge museum, but touches on the history of flight with examples of early aircraft. There a nice section on helicopters. There are some interactive exhibits and videos. There are other interactive activities that have an added cost.

You don't need to be an airplane enthusiast to enjoy this pearl of a museum. Airplanes from the beginning of aviation, storytelling, interactive experiences, drone academy and much more. It's special to be seated in the cockpit of a 747. Sign up for a membership...More

What this is not: a war bird museum like most. Hiller was a pioneer in vertical flight and much of the display is dedicated to that. The only outside static display is the nose section of an old 747. Inside there are early 1900's craft,...More
