Lovely little place on top of a hill overlooking San Clemente Pier and Beach. A taste and feel of romantic early California. First time we came in the evening when it was decorated for Christmas - very beautiful. Came back again during the day and enjoyed a panoramic view of the ocean and toured the gardens. Can see why couples... More

The Casa Romantica is a very pleasant attraction tucked away above downtown San Clemente. It was the summer home of the founder of the city and commands a spectacular view of the ocean and the pier. There is ample parking right at the front door. A modest $5 fee lets you enjoy the home at your own pace. The gardens... More

The two lovely and friendly blondes at the front desk were very welcoming and helped set me up for my tour. Beautifully maintained property. I feel it provides a great summary and easily digestible history of San Clemente and SoCal in general. Provides a fantastic view of the San Clemente Pier.(I would plan to visit the pier in the same... More

This was just such a beautiful way to learn about the history of San Clemente. Minimal charge to get in and as much time as you need to walk the rooms and grounds. Great way to learn about how San Clemente was laid out. Just an all around gorgeous way to spend the day!

Fascinating piece of San Clemente history. Very friendly and informative proctors. Self guided audio tour available on your cell phone. For $5, it's a great way to spend an hour or two in a beautiful location.

This home built in the 1920's has a small museum about the founding of San Clemente but its real attraction is the lovely grounds. With its gardens and amazing ocean views it's not surprising that there is a wedding here every weekend.

The view is simply amazing. Very nice gardens with indigenous plants. A quick tour but definitely worth a stop.

Interesting galleries an beautiful view of ocean and pier from the Casa. Old photos of both the 30s-50s surf scene and Camp Pendleton. Really nice gardens also. Nice place to have a picnic overlooking the Pacific.
