The 132,000 square foot museum is one of the nation's premier science and technology museums. The Tech is dedicated to inspire the innovator in everyone. This place is San Jose's answer to SF's Exploratorium, and a great one it is! There is so much to engage the young mind here, in so many different areas of technology. The exhibits are very thoughtfully designed to allow an easy grasp of the principles behind the process, and there are a multitude of tech personnel available to describe... More

Wonderful hands on exhibits. One of the best science museums I have visited and we live in Boston! Many of the local technology companies sponsor exhibits and we really enjoyed some of the virtual reality exhibits.

This is not a museum aimed at elementary school kids though there are things for them. All over this places are interactive exhibits that are interesting and showed a number of things I'd not seen before. One exhibit used the skills from other exhibits to solve a puzzle. Leave yourself time to work on exhibits, not just a minute to... More

Would have expected something more "WOW" this being Silicon Valley. It might be because I'm an engineer and not that easily impressed. The kids found it to be boring.

BY FAR one of the highlights of our San Jose trip. My 9 and 11 yr old kids had a blast. If you have membership to your local science museum and you reciprocate (ASTC passport program), this museum will be FREE. Make sure you retain your ticket stub because you need them to play the interactive games. Easily could have... More

There is always something to see or do at the Tech. My kids (both boys) really enjoy themselves here. The IMAX theatre has revolving shows so check before you go to see what is playing.
