We recently took our nearly 2 year old grandson to this children's museum, his second visit. He was nearly 6 months younger when we first went and both times were very enjoyable. At this age, two hours is about max! We stopped for lunch in their museum cafe and he fell asleep while eating! The food there was imaginative and... More

Every time I visit my 2 year old granddaughter in San Jose, we head to this downtown museum. It is her favorite place because there are so many fascinating things going on inside. With a family membership, they allow one grandparent as well. Yesterday we spent three hours playing with one cool exhibit after another. Everything is perfectly designed for... More

Lots of activities for energetic kids. Lots of fun activities. We bought a grandparents package which is worth it if you use it 2 or 3 times a year. They also have kid friendly food.

We have been members for 2 years, best children museum in the Bay. I recommend the Explorers Circle membership level as it gives 50% off most children museums in the country. Amazing entertainment for 2-5 years old but my 6yr old still enjoys the great water feature and exciting art projects. We usually spend 3hrs plus lunch, only museum with... More

Many creative things to see and explore. Hands on creativity crafts. Watch out for the dinosaurs! Great for kids and adults and a family outing must!

It is a nice place to visit with children 1-6 years old, though it is more interested for kids between 3 and 5. A lot of different activities and science gadgets. Your child can play by yourself or interact with other children. There are several masterclasses related to painting and craft. Several drawbacks have the same root - this place... More

I took a one year old here (one year and a day!) with a season pass. He is still a crawler so we spent most of our time in the way back of the museum in the crawlers room - no shoes. There is a big space off to the right, as soon as you walk in, where you can... More

This hands on children's museum is one of the very best places to take very young children up to about age 9. The activities are all hands on and ultra age appropriate. Grandparents.....this is THE place to take the grands.....Parents on vacation? This is better than waiting in line at Great America and more diverse in activity than the beach.... More

What a wonderful hands on type of Museum. Lots to learn and have fun while learning. They are always adding new exhibits here as well, so dont be afraid to go more then once. Lots of space inside and out. Bring a lunch for the kiddos as the little eatery is not very kid friendly.

This is a place that doesn't just parade kids past exhibits, but from the very start, engages them to interact, to experiment and to learn. I was particularly impressed with the number of volunteers and staff members. Parking is across the street and costs $7. Pay at the pay-station and don't forget to put your receipt on your dashboard (so... More
