Nice museum

They had a special exhibit from the Cooper- Hewitt museum at the time of our visit. Nice small museum. Worth a visit. Doesn't require a long visit.

This art museum is a gem. It is not huge and can be viewed in half a day maximum. There is always something interesting to see. There are usually two or three exhibitions on, one of which will be either invited or specially commissioned, the other taking particular look at a topic that will either make use of their permanent... This was a reasonably priced museum with some interesting art but not world class by any stretch of the imagination. It is small and you can visit all three floors in an hour or two. Pleasant but nothing to write home about. Nice cafe and gift shop.

Place for enjoying art exhibits includes both permanent and temporary section. Displays are well organized with separated the permanent and temporary section. Museum store are compact and is advisable to checkout. The exterior is the fusion between old middle-aged castle of former city post office and modern building.there is also cafe/restaurant to grab something to eat.

The exhibits are always interesting and cool to see. We only needed an hour to see everything, but two hours would have been perfect.

I visited the museum mid week and it wasn't busy at all. At times I had whole exhibits to myself. I was surprised by how small the museum is but actually it works in its favour. It meant I had time to take in each gallery and each piece and it is extremely well curated. It had a really informal... More

Great place to get inspiration if you don't want to go to SF for cultural leisure. Small but interesting exhibitions of contemporary art.

We stopped here to add to my Dale Chihuly collection. The museum although on the smallish side had nice exhibits, which are very well displayed and labeled so you can tell what you are seeing. All docents I met were very friendly and helpful.

Reasonably complete collection. Smaller than one would expect for a city of a million---SF, at 2/3ths the size, has many more galleries and museums. I guess SJ is still just a BIG "bedroom community", with no "there" there.
