Not a large museum, but mind bogeling. Loved the colors, textures, displays and how the colors of the walls compliment the beautiful quilts. Mostly modern, some traditional, all exceptional displays of workmanship, creativity and beauty. Must see when you are in San Jose.

The museum is tiny. The exhibit on display was minimal and not very interesting. Glad we only paid $8. Make sure you explore exactly what is on display before you go. It changes often so maybe there will be something more interesting and substantial for...More

I have visited this museum twice and was so impressed with the exhibits both times. If I lived in the area I would be a member and visit every time there was a new exhibit! Lots of great dining in the area, easy to visit....More

That which is on display is worth seeing, however, emphasis is on large works of modern design. Better use of the intramural space could have been made by use of display boards for a variety of smaller works. During my visit there were no historic...More

Quilting and textiles aren't well appreciated by everyone....but for those of you that do, this is a GREAT place. In fact, the museum gets a 4 rating from me based on other places I've seen. But I actually rated this a 3 as a "general"...More

We felt we didn't get value for our admission price as there were only a handful of quilts on display, all of a similar style and by the same maker. It would be a good idea to check what's on display before making the decision...More

I was expecting a larger "museum" & for $8 admission to look at 1 small room of jazz themed quilts & 6 wedding quilts I was disappointed. They also had a handful of wedding dresses thru the ages displayed. Overall, I'm in awe of the...More

I HATE to give this museum a bad review, because it seems to be ran by a passionate, dedicated group of volunteers. However, I'd read online that they had vintage quilts and textiles, and I was shocked at how small it was, and there was...More
