Not a ton of stuff here, but really good restaurants, a few shops and usually plenty of free parking. Good for a nice afternoon stroll for lunch and a little shopping.

I have been to Japantown several times over the years to eat a local restaurants. The food is excellent with friendly service at every place that we visited. Watch out for the parking warden, I have been ticketed once when the parking rules changed.

There is something for everyone, shopping, eating or just strolling around. It is best on a day when it isn't raining.

Obvious efforts being made to preserve to remaining historic sites, while still allowing commercial activity. Fascinating area to visit, will return!

Gombei's whiteboard is a consistent source excellent of lunch / dinner eats (and great value). Bamboo7 - new owners, but as much karaoke as anyone can reasonably handle!

It's not a huge area but parking is available (metered as well as a by the hour lot.) Most of the restaurants in this area is good. It can be pricey I like going there for a quiet date.
