I've been a member of this park in the past, but never really used it. There is some interesting history to learn from the buildings and the people who work there. Ultimately, for small kids though, it's kind of a gateway to Happy Hollow where they can indulge in high tech rides and junk food

San Jose has long, rich history, not only in agriculture but in many other things such as radio for example. However, city "leaders" do not seem to know or care about it. They certainly do not honor it. Although many historical buildings and homes have been destroyed, a few are preserved at History Park. There are also a lot of... More

One will be amazed by the wide variety of cultures that are exhibited. Delving into San Jose's historical past is fun and rewarding. This a definite place to show kids things that are certainly not present in today's world.

This old town San Jose looks very different from all other all towns I have been. The street car ride bring a lot of fun. The street car collection is also precious. How these buildings distribute is very different from others where they are usually at the same street, if of this size. The Chinese temple is unique. In addition,... More

Decided to come here as we ran out of places to visit after our biz trip to San Jose. The place is almost like a ghost town on Friday and most house exhibits were closed. All said, Kelley is not target at mass tourism but I m delighted to have the chance to visit period houses without going to New... More

It can't get very lonely but its nice you have many things to see and they have a nice little shop. Its free and on certain days they have a trolly going around.

We mainly walked the streets since the buildings weren't open but still thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The electric tower was particularly fascinating.

This gem is a wonderful day trip for anyone. Easy walking, and a step back in time. Sprawling lawns in the shade and gazebos to sit and contemplate what life was like long algo. Many times a year this park has something wonderful happening. History Park is often host to Makers Faires, history weekends, music festivals, art shows, master gardener... More

This is a fun place to go and very very interesting to those of us that are fascinated by local history.. The grounds are easy to walk and always open. With the little signs in front of each building, you can get the history even when the buildings are closed. My only wish is that it could be fully open... More

This is kind of a history museum which is part of the Kelley Park area. It contains many smaller buildings which are individual museums in themselves. Entrance to the History Park is free, but there is a $10 day parking fee for the Kelley Park area. The idea is really nice, and there are a number of interesting buildings here... More
