Lose yourself in natural splendor. Situated on San Francisco Bay and featuring varied terrain and over a maintained pathway, this gorgeous recreation area is a great spot for a hike, a lovely place to picnic and an amazing location for a photograph. This is a jewel just a few blocks from the freeway, but feels like a stroll through the... More

We moved here in the sixties and coyote point was just that, a point. We fished off the beach, and caught some sharks, and drank some beers around campfires at night. Needless to say, you'd be arrested for any of these activities today, but the place is clean and offers a great, safe playground for kids of a younger age.... More

It is always such a pleasure and removal from the pressures and demands of daily life, to stroll along the path of Coyote Point Recreation Area. I turn toward the water, inhale and smile.

Have lived in the area for over 50 years. Coyote Point is like home. So much to do, always changing though never out of character. Bike, walk, museum, marina, beach, wildlife, fishing, etc. You do it or watch others (like the mad flying kite boarders), either way it's always a good time. Rangers are the most personable folks. Think they... More

I grew up about a half mile from here. I played here all the time. We ran through the eucalyptus trees and visited the museum regularly. We swam in the bay and fished for perch at the docks. I raised my children nearby and we came here a lot, too.

Fishing in some areas of the park with and without a fishing license. Two jettys are good to reach opening of bay. Be prepared for wind and dress in Layers. Live bate was the choice while one guy insisted on lures.

My grandchildren did camp there and loved it! Creative play is so important and they thrived... They also have a public park there which children love. There's plenty to do outside from the camp area.

Love this place. One the the first places a friend too me to when I moved to the bay area. I loved walking along the water and then up to the point. A place to get some great pictures. It can get windy/breezy but as opposed to SF it is usually warm. Such a beautiful place in creation. I visit... More

This park is very clean, well maintained, safe and in a good location. easy access off the freeway, but yet when you enter, you are clearly in a park setting. there are many trails to walk or bike on, picnic areas are well maintained. restroom facilities. and even a museum for the little ones. nice way to spend a day

A bit of hiking, picnic tables, a marina, golf course, windsurfing, beach, children's museum and local animal exhibit, etc. makes this a truly great place to take the family for a day out. Great views of SF and the Bay area, watch the planes land at SFO, the list goes on. Just bring a jacket.
