San Simeon park is a good spot to stop for a picnic. The view is amazing. Would recommend specially if you're waiting for your tour or after San Simeon castle tour.

This is one of my favorite parks on the Central California coast. It is very close to the Hearst Castle and the beach. I love to stop here to photograph the Elephant seal rookery which is just a few miles up the road. The park...More

Traveling with a companion who has camped at other places nearby, this was disappointing. Without warning campers, the toilets, showers & sinks were closed. Other campgrounds nearby had not shut off showers. Yes, there is a drought, but why isn't the website updated to let...More

Excellent walking path for a romantic walk, a walk alone or to take the dog for a walk. Meanders around a beautiful coastline and stops by tide pools and lovely moonstone beach with its pebble size rocks and odd shaped rock formations.

I loved this campground so much. I have stayed here once before and it was fantastic. My husband and I stayed in site number 22 tucked in the corner, close to beach access with a flat surface area for our tent. Beach access is quick,...More

This was a convenient campground to stay in when visiting Hearst Castle the next day. Unfortunately all of the bathrooms and showers were closed because of the drought. It would have been nice if they lowered the price because of the lower services.

Lorraine. I see people having their pets, in the San Simeon area. The State park and the beach. The Cavalier Resort in San Simeon even accomodates pets in and outside the rooms.
