Fun place to see some beautiful rocks! Kids had a blast exploring and seeing if they could find some hidden treasures on the sand.

This is a great area of the coast. It has a waling path along the bluffs with educational signs so you can learn about the local inhabitants. There's a beach and tide pools appear during low tide.

We were very disappointed with this non interesting beach. There were lots of people here (in the parking lot) which was very curious to us. Not sure what the big attraction is. I've been to nicer beaches, in fact, every beach I have been to...More

Take a lovely beach of colored stones with a path that goes up the nearly cliffs with killer ocean views. Just behind this "park" there are small family run California seaside "motels". No high rises. Cute town with some great restaurants. Heavenly place to stay...More

If you like picking up rocks or little bits of glass on the beach (like I do), then boy are you going to *love* the action at Moonstone Beach. I stuffed my pockets full of pebbles until Dirk dragged me away. Seriously, I filled a...More

Moonstone beach is a nice place to while away a few minutes before or after you visit Hearst Castle. I think there are better beaches elsewhere along the coast if you want to spend a day by the sea.

The boardwalk on this beach is just wonderful. You can walk for as long as you want and there are stairs for you to use to get down to the beach in several spots. In addition, there is parking in the street and in a...More

I don't think you'd want to do that at right at Moonstone Beach. There is pretty high currents and undertow around the very rocky shoreline. Go a couple miles north to the beach located right by the Cavalier hotel. They... More
