This is a AAA gem, but we were sorely disappointed. I believe much of the collection was packed away and what was left was not very impressive. We will have to try again in a few years once construction is complete.

Had a good time visiting the museum but much of it and its collections are undergoing renovation. The exhibits they have out are very good. Took us about an hour and a half to see all. Museum has a very nice store.

Under some renovation, but interesting all the same. Go! Wonderful exhibition going on from Britain in the 40's.

We happened to visit on a free day. Renovation is in progress (Fall 2016) so the exhibit space is smaller than normal. There is quite a bit of Asian art. I liked the variety and hope to go back when the renovations are done.

We've been visiting this museum annually for several years. It's an eclectic collection of art that's both regionally appropriate and includes many important pieces. It is clear that the community is proud of this museum and the setting is very nice. The building is centrally located on State Street and this museum makes a nice quiet place to relax and... More

As he title states it was ok but I was expecting more from it. The exhibition of British artists was very odd people born in other counties but live in Britain for a period of time they are not British. The photography on display was very good and thought provoking. I thought the Asia display was very good the best... More

I actually love this art museum, but right now they are redoing the exhibits and there was very little to see. Looking forward to when there is more to view.

An art museum experience can vary widely by the exhibits offered at any given time, but a visit to this museum is always warranted because of the quality and variety of its permanent collection. This visit, on a Sunday afternoon, was free because a number of the galleries were closed due to construction work. The two galleries that were open... More
