My bf decided to come down to Santa Barbara. We had so much fun. So much to see. The beach was nice. The sunsets were beautiful

If you are visiting Santa Barbera you will probably find yourself walking up Sterns Wharf. We did it in the morning on a monday and it was quiet. Took the dog. Once at the end it offers a pretty great view of the shoreline and hills in the background.

This wharf is a nice walk (or drive if you want). There are about 5 restaurants out there, 4 of which are really good.

We went looking for the Arts & Crafts fair - which is normally on Sundays and starts on the Wharf and runs along Castillo. But it was a gray misty day and apparently no vendors showed as a result. So we walked the pier. Its pretty standard for any california pier - pretty view of the water and looking back... More

Stearns Wharf was nice and there were a few interesting things to do, but nothing major like in San Francisco or Seattle, but if you want to relax and walk about with an ice cream and shop or spend some time with family this would be a good option. Don't forget to crush a pen as a souvenir before you... More

The wharf has always been a stop of mine when in the SB area, just a great way to spend a couple hours just watching and looking.

This is a long pier but worth the walk to the end. I particularly enjoyed the signs talking about the area. Who knew the largest kelp forest in the world was here? Clean public rest rooms and a handful of shops and eateries. Great views.

It was raining but I enjoyed walking the pier and having lunch at the Harbor House. There are 4 restaurants in the pier and a few shops. You can drive on the pier and have 90 minutes free parking.

It did feel strange taking the car out on the Pier and driving out into the Ocean! It was a bumpy ride given it is all made of wooden beams. The Aquarium at the end of the Pier was a great visit. I was scared having my children with me at the far end since there are no safety barriers.
