Camped one night at Lake Cachuma. Opted to book a campsite off the lake a little bit because many of them on the peninsula or shore are very exposed, mostly dirt with few trees. The more covered location that we picked though got a good...More

I love going to the area where you can rent skiffs for the day and just enjoy the lake or you can just sit by the lake enjoying the view and the wildlife. The squirrels are pretty funny going about their business and their quarrels....More

A charming lake in the Santa Ynez Mountains, with great camping facilities and boats for rent. Lovely for fishing or just relaxing by the lake.

I have been here about four times, once was camping. I do like watching the crew teams from UCSB but I didn't find much else. I sort of feel like I missed something.

If you are going to Solvang from LA, its a nice stop, just 10 minutes to admire the laje and the mountains behind. Them continue 15 minutes and you arrive to solvang.

These cabins were perfect. Entire area was beautiful and well maintained. We would plan another trip to CA just to stay at Lake Cachuma.
