Plenty of sandy beach to run, walk, watch the sunset or take a dip in the mild waves. If the sand is too much there is a great path that straddles the beach area. Easy parking 90 minutes free. Close to pier and state street.

This is a lovely park by the beach. The palm trees provide a tropical setting for events such as a wine event we attended.

My family was first drawn by the nautical theme of this near-the-sea park. There's a playground set in a faux sea village reached by winding tree-shaded paths. The summer concerts are fun and very well-attended. Parking can be a challenge.

This park with a pirate ship theme is very good for children to play imaginatively & safely under adult supervision.

Too bad such a lovely setting features a creepy park. Drunks and other adults not accompanied by children hover around the play structures. And, some children seem to be unaccompanied by adults. If it had better security and/or gate system, that would help. Maybe a...More

Chase Palm Park on Cabrillo Blvd across from the ocean is just the best. During the summer there are music events. It has a great playground, and also a fantastic carousel. A must do when grand kids visit us.
