Though it's primarily a hiking trail, I ran Rattlesnake with a friend yesterday. It's a great run - steep and tough in places, flowing and open in others. The view from the top is magnificent and I had a blast - it gives you a...More

This trail goes up a beautiful canyon and is well-maintained. I'd say that it is probably a moderately strenuous hike even if you go all the way up. You'll cross the creek several times, hopping on one rock to the next. Watch out for the...More

Rating depends on how far up the trail you go. It's a popular hike with locals, so quite doable if you're in decent but not peak shape. Shady much of the way, flowers, stream crossings, rocks to sit on, views to admire. Bring water and...More

We started from Mission Creek and walked all the way to Gibraltar. Fantastic views over the ocean and the islands. Pack a lot of water and why not have a picnic in the park after the hike. Good shoes a must, we had a comfy...More

Loved it. Its a gradual moderate steep short hike. Water and Trail shoes as must, loose rock, so good shoe support helps. Wear pants or leggings, some paths are more narrow than others and I noticed there is a lot of Poison Ivy or Oak,...More
