“Enjoy the American Riviera from the heart of historic Santa Barbara”

Located in the heart of historic El Paseo in downtown Santa Barbara, Margerum Wine Company offers two venues for tastings: MWC32 and the Margerum Tasting Room. Sit on our dog friendly patio while you enjoy a tasting or glass of wine. Doug Margerum has been intimately involved in both food and wine for over 30 years in the Santa Barbara region, which has made him one of the pioneers in the industry. Margerum works with the top vineyards from the warm, eastern end of the valley in Happy Canyon of Santa Barbara to the cool vineyards of Sta. Rita Hills towards the western end of the valley

Margerum is perhaps the best Rhone Wine producer in the Santa Barbara region, maybe even the world. The tasting room is friendly and organized with an excellent selection of wines. Margerum syrah and the M5 blend are always winners. Parking is challenging and there are a lot of other tasting rooms in the area.

Not a huge range of wines in the tasting, but the team were friendly and knowledgeable. We went as a couple but they allowed us to share one tasting, which is a great tip to make it much more cost effective.

Margerum Wine Company is located in the El Paseo Historic shopping area. Whether you drink wine or not it's worth a visit to see this lovely Paseo. Margerum Wine Company has an excellent variety of wines with a lovely top rated restaurant right next door. There are other wineries located in the El Paseo area. Have fun sipping.

The owner Doug Margerum is supposed to be one of the leaders of Santa Barbara area wine making but i found the wines not very good or interesting. There are better choices around the town.

We were in town on a weekend and almost blew it by goofing off too much in the hotel in the afternoon; the tasting places close at 6 and you need to be there at 5:30 for the 'last call'. We got to Margerum a little after that but they were very welcoming. Fine wines, nice conversation, enjoyable experience.

Enjoyed ourselves tremendously at a recent library tasting in Buellton. The Margerum family and whole staff were wonderful and we came away with some great library wines.

First and foremost, Margerum puts out great wines. Excellent in every varietal. Second, I prefer this location for winetasting in the Santa Barbara area. Even though it is located in the heart of the downtown area, the tasting room is on the back side of the Santa Barbara's main street, State. It is away from the busy shopping areas and... More

My sister and I happened upon the Margerum tasting room while exploring Santa Barbara. The ladies at the tasting were friendly and knowledgeable, and the wines were excellent. We'll definitely be back!
