Wow! This is amazing!

Be sure and walk by this fig tree. Located right next to the Amtrak train station. I saw many people climbing up the tree for photo shots.

I was just at the train station and went over to see this historic tree. When the traffic lights were on this section of 101, this was a hangout and a meeting place for all sorts of travelers through the south coast... now it seems a bit lonely.

As part of the Trolley tou they take to to see the 200 year old Australian Moreton Bay Fig tree said to have been bought to the USA by a sailor. Interesting story.

Not particularly special but it's right next to the highway so I figured, why not. I wouldn't make any special trips to see this though.

You have to see this tree to believe it! Even in the midst of the hustle and bustle of the Amtrak/Greyhound station, this tree provides a moment of tranquility.

The Moreton Bay Fig Tree is actually located in the Santa Barbara Mission courtyard. It is a beautiful tree in a very tranquil setting. Enjoy :)

If you are in downtown Santa Barbara, you are close to this tree. It has these wonderful huge roots that stick up out of the earth like a massive octopus!

Huge tree with big roots. Great to take pictures. It's right inside the station, driving in and she out doesn't cost you anything.

Beautiful, massive tree! You have to see it to believe it and yes there were figs on it! It's right next to the train station, so if you go by train - stop to see this tree!

We're from Brisbane Australia and it was very pleasing to see the history of this tree and its importance to the area. I wouldn't have know if its existence without trip advisor. We live near 'Moreton Bay' in Brisbane so it was very pleasing to see the connection. We have also some beautiful ones in the old Brisbane botanical gardens... More
