This is a beautiful park. The best part is at the very top where the best views are. It is a little hard to find, you have to go up (take a left) up the small almost hidden paved road right in front or by the ranger (or park) station. It is great to walk around there, take pictures and... More

This park is privately funded and immaculately maintained. The park has hiking trails, beautiful picnicking areas, well maintained Baseball Diamonds, restrooms, amazing views and very friendly dogs and dog owners. Hiking to the top of many of the trails allows Fabulous Views of the Pacific Ocean with wonderful fresh onshore airflows coming all the way from Hawaii.

We've traveled with our German Shepard mix and have yet to see a space with more charm to both dogs and their peeps. It has a complex of baseball fields with fencing beyond the outfield that creates an outer ring of lawns, trees, bushes, sandy hillsides, slopes with trees, and stations with free poop bags and even water fountains for... Loved the softball area. Not enough shade, need to bring your tents and lots of sunscreen. Parking can be a nightmare. Get there early!! Lots of activities going on there. We had to pay for parking. Some of us paid and no parking could be found. Refunds were given. Bathrooms were fairly clean and had been stocked both days there.

Para-sailing, BMX bikes, radio-controlled cars are all advertised as featuring and the facilities are all there, complete with a small stadium for the BMX bikes ; however, the two times we visited we only saw the para-sailing because organization appeared to be very poor, with websites lacking specific dates for activities, and phone contacts appeared to be equally ignorant of... Whether or not you are into non-powered flight, Elings Park makes for a wonderful visit for watching non-powered flight, or even participating in paragliding, solo or tandem. This is one of the Gem's of Santa Barbara and I don't know of another American City that has a paragliding, hang gliding park available within the City. It is also a fun... More

Next to the ocean, lots of open space with views and activities like mountain biking, para sailing, hiking. There are sports fields soccer and baseball.

Attended a family wedding at Elings Park and was so pleased with everything involved. Located on the top of a hill overlooking the ocean on one side and the hills on the other, the cool ocean breeze kept the temperature pleasant. The grassy amphitheater was the perfect setting for the bridal party, and the seating was ample for a small... More

Paragliding is from South entry. You can drive up to the top where paragliding group are gathered. The view was beautiful and paragliding seems fun. Many people were there in the morning around 9am and they can fly by themselves within few hours. Very cool.
