The scenery is stunning, and we did part of the tour on a shark tour. Part land, part water, definitely a nice, relaxing, different way to see the sights. We did not complete the entire drive, so I have to return.

Very restful, intellectually surprising, and inspiring views in every direction. Walk and remember that LIFE GOES BY IN SECONDS!!!! Do not waste it on petty, narcissistic people and petty concerns. Drive through up to the promontory and view one of the most SPECTACULAR vistas of...More

This was not our idea of a "scenic" drive. The route was poorly marked with few stopping / vista points. If you were wanting to real estate it was perfect. We had hope to get some great views of the sea and drive up into...More

We rode the scenic 17 mile drive on the motorbike and had a great time. Something for everyone, beach, large houses, hills, golf course, views etc. Good fun for an hour or two and much more fun doing it by yourself, so you stop where...More

We spent an entire afternoon along this well-marked drive. We stopped at a few overlooks and ate lunch . The lovely palm trees were quite old and the homes spectacular. Many gated homes with wonderful vistas of the sea. What a tranquil time! The expensive...More

Nice drive, pretty views, nice to see the homes in Santa Barbara. We laughed at the many schools along the route-and wondered if the students paid any attention to the spectacular views they had. Included several must sees including the old mission, Hendry's beach, the wharf,...More

Of the local scenery. Stop by the visitors center to obtain written directions. Navigating all the turns would be tough without directions.

Sorry to answer this way, but we were on a bus trip and this is the way we traveled the drive by the shore. It is beautiful though I really loved the sailboats and cabin cruisers.

Richard G is kind of right. But if you must, go back to Torrence after 8:00 PM. It's only a 1.5 hour drive then. Press that peddle a little harder and it's 1:15 :). Do the drive, I listed it in a review. Get out and ride a... More
