Fun to walk around

We enjoyed our visit here, had some Uni and a few drinks. Fun to people watch - not a foodie spot, more touristy, but could be fun in the wall when the seafood is really in season.

Very high quality fish fillets and shellfish! They have a very large variety to choose from and a lot to see with majority of fresh local seafood such as halibuts, cods, salmons mussels sea urchins and much more. They carry fish from around the world that still comes in fresh and not frozen. There is a grab-n-go case with cooked... More

We've been really wanting to find some good fresh ahi to make poke. Reviewing our option we thought we'd SBFM because they sell "fresh" fish and also prepare poke for sale. We bought 2 lbs of ahi, 2 pounds of yellowtail and a pound of poke. I asked if it was prepared that day and they said yes. Poke, like... More

Went here because they sold poke. Since it is a fish market I thought the fish would be fresh, bad assumption. Poke was not fresh and the seasoning was bland. To make a good poke you have to have really fresh fish and this place didn't cut it.

We're honestly shocked to read your review, Melissa. We buy our fish fresh from fisherman at the docks every morning, so we can't imagine why anything wouldn't be totally fresh. We'll be following up with the team stat to figure out what could've been going on. Sincerely, Your Fish Monger at Santa Barbara Fish Market More

We stop by this place everytime we visit harbor, fresh oyster and sea urchins. They will shock the oyster and sea urchins for free if you provide your own container, otherwise $2 charge. Like their fish salad too.
