This is a great ride. Some call it dated, boring and old. I love it. It reminds you of the originality of the Boardwalk and the "beach" setting. I love the "old" feel of this ride as not everything has to be so "modernized" and...More

I don't understand the attraction to this ride. It's antiquated and old. With so much to do on the boardwalk it isn't worth the half an hour line to go through it. This ride is the same as it was in the 1960s, as nostalgic...More

The Cave Train, a kind of amusement park train ride/dark ride combination, is a nod to the past attractions history of the incredible Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk that can be experienced simply as a family-friendly ride or a literal trip down memory lane for those...More

Climb Aboard to go back to the CaveMan times. This is not Disney by any means. The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk has updated this ride and it remains a classic. Step back in time and into the dark.

No, this is not fancy Disney special effects. Nor is it tied into any movie, current TV or cultural reference. This is a unique piece of americana with California flair. If you like dark rides, you'll love this one. It's not a thrill ride, it's...More

Kids and adults will enjoy spending time in this gentle ride at the Santa Cruz Boardwalk. Most other rides are either for adults or children, as there are scary roller coasters, etc. or kiddie rides. This can be happily shared with all ages.

If you have really little kids with you (1-8), then this can be okay for them, but not an adult adventure by any stretch of the imagination. This ride probably predates Disneyland by many years and probably has not been updated since it opened.

Worst ride at the boardwalk!! Long wait and the cave is dusty and stuffy. The props are from the caveman era at the boardwalk, and as ancient as the caveman days.

This is a relaxing ride that kids will like as a break from the exciting roller coasters. Its a fun ride to take. I would however only do it if the wait line is reasonable; i.e. its not a Disneyland style ride but more a...More

Fun train ride for the kids. The Train is very nice. The tunnel was fun. We went on it 6 times in a row. Great for kids under 9.
