A small, but very well kept educational facility that specializes in marine animals and ocean life. Many hands on attractions as well as informative posters, booklets and videos. You can also touch a shark. That was my highlight of my trip. They have a great gift shop with items for all ages too. Affordable tickets. Make sure you stop by... More

I spent the afternoon here with an almost-three-year old. She got stamps on both hands, she touch sea stars and a sea urchin, and she saw sea creatures in aquariums. The crabs were a special favorite. Staff were especially kind and patient. Outside the main building the skeleton of a blue whale was on display, a perfect backdrop for a... More

I took my granddaughter and her 4 yr old to visit and learn about sea life. They really enjoyed it and had fun at the touch tank.

We didn't know what to expect for $8 entrance and I can honestly tell you my husband and I enjoyed it like two little kid every single spot in this Center. Absolutely amazing and interesting and knowledgeable place. Had so much fun inside and outside exploring it.

Smaller, quieter and cheaper then taking the kids to Monterey Bay Aquarium. No sanding in line, no huge expensive gift shop. All around a better experience. I only takes about an hour.

Awesome place, a little small but with good enough exhibitions to pass the morning, the view of the sea is just something that you cannot find anywhere else.

There are lots of activity stations and at least three touch tanks. It's not just for kids - adults will love it too. During the school year, there are often school field trips to this location. The staff and volunteers are extremely friendly, and the location is gorgeous. Bring a lunch with you and sit outside and enjoy the beautiful... More

I can't really say much because they were closed. There are some cool fossils of whales outside but that was all we got to see.

This was one of our favorite places. Because it is part of UCSC it is only $6.00 admission. My 14 year old loved it. we went almost every day. Nice gift shop. Petted sharks. We held star fish that were purple, blue, red, orange. We played with anenome and hermit crab. They also told us where to go to see... More

A favorite of the grandkids and local schools. Very accessible and some nice hands-on exhibits. Can easily do in an hour or two.
