The MAH recently renovated the square to include a handful of places to eat, a tap room and a bar. It's a nice little addition. Nothing ground breaking. But a fun place to drop in for oysters and a beer, or a cocktail and snack...More

Disappointing and depressing exhibits about the treatment of Native Americans and the plight of children who go through the foster care system. Interesting and informative, but not enjoyable.

Love the third floor with the indigenous people and history of Santa Cruz. Becoming interactive and participatory. Think it was only $10.

This is a small museum that presents changing displays that outline the history of the Santa Cruz city and surrounding areas. It includes displays on logging, tanning, Chinese and Mexican laborers and historical figures for which many places retain their names.

Great art museum that showcases local and worldwide artists. It also has a fantastic exhibit on the history of Santa Cruz county.

The museum director is taking this Museum in a new and interesting direction. First Friday evenings are great fun. Kids activities are spot on. Often activities are more interactive then your normal museum experience.

If you want some history on the settlement of the Santa Cruz area you will enjoy the second floor of this museum. Lots to look at and read about. There is also a nice gallery of art by a female Chinese artist. Art on the...More

Update. The history exhibit is closed until September for setting a new exhibit. Check out the website for music and other fun events sponsored by the MAH.
